Description
Sikagard®-705 L is a one-component, low-viscosity, silane-based water repellent designed for concrete and cementitious substrates. It provides deep penetration even in dense concrete, reducing capillary water absorption and protecting against driving rain, splashing, and ingress of deleterious agents such as de-icing salts and chlorides in marine environments. The treatment increases concrete resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, mitigates corrosion in cracked concrete, and retards corrosion initiation by lowering available humidity at reinforcement bars. It complies with EN 1504-2 for hydrophobic impregnation and meets international guidelines including Dutch RWS and Swedish SNRA standards. Ready to use and low in VOC, Sikagard®-705 L ensures long-term efficiency while maintaining water vapour permeability, making it ideal for civil engineering structures, building concrete exposed to harsh conditions, and coastal infrastructure. Available in 18 kg pails and 180 kg drums, it is a cost-effective, easy-to-apply solution for durable concrete protection.
